Reddit is driven by user-submitted content. Stats don't always tell the story, and decisions in MMA are tricky. So as they say, don't leave it to the judges. Self-explanatory, we will have differences but no need to flame. We won't tolerate any threads and posts that just bash the game for no reason. If you think something can be improved, then, by all means, you can mention it but please make sure to add some reasoning to it and of course suggestions. Highlight videos, gifs, and tutorials are highly encouraged If you have any questions about the game please use this search function and make sure the answer isn't already waiting for you There are plenty of FAQ and threads that have been posted multiple times. No x user is lag switching, cheating, etc posts.ĭo not post links to fight streams. If you have any questions, feel free to send one of the mods a message! So if you're like me, I can say: wait to see if they patch it, cause its balls right now. ![]() The advertised fighter relationships is hollow- the idea that you can build relationships with other fighters (either as friends or rivals) sounded really good in the trailer, but the reality is it's just a meter on the game. You press a button, the meter increases or decreases. ![]() Honestly feels like it's just there so the devs could tout it as a feature, and put no work into it aside from the barest of minimums It reminds me of those old Facebook/mobile games that featured nothing but increasing bars and nice sounds. The career mode is practically the same as UFC 3, except now you don't get to train to improve your stats. Instead, you have to spar or fight to generate points to spend in improving your fighter. It sounds fun, but the generation of points is ridiculously slow, so you have to spar.a lot, and I mean a lot. (You can skip weeks to generate a meagre amount of points too) That's also your only functional form of training, so you better have a lot of patience for it. Ranked fighters were included no matter what, the rest were chosen by either popularity, recognition, or record/potential. I did no more than 10 fighters per weight class. Remember how you could improve your strikes by learning/training with other fighters in UFC 3? That's gone. Make your top 5 picks for fighters to be added to EA UFC 4. Now you have to throw/land a strike or do a specific move in fights or spars to improve it. Again, it sounds good on paper, but the number of repetitions it takes to go advance from level 2 onwards gets awfully high. Also- this includes ground and clinch transitions, which you cannot start from in sparring. If you want to improve off your back, better hope the AI feels like taking you down, and also you better have a good few hours just spamming ground transitions. If that doesn't sound fun, it's because it isn't.ģb. Wanted to rename the original QRT from "canned" to "paused" because I've not been told that it's 100% canned yet.If you think that the devs chose that to introduce advance tutorials (striking combos/clinch control) you're wrong. Either way, it’s clear that even in the best case scenario, it’s probably going to be a while before Fight Night makes its comeback- if it does.Ī Fight Night reboot had to be *paused* for it □ Of course, there has been no official word from EA about a Fight Night revival (even though it has been in the rumour mill for a couple of years), while even EA Sports UFC 5 has yet to be officially announced. Whether that means EA Canada will move on to Fight Night once UFC 5 has launched next year remains to be seen. Interestingly, Henderson also reiterated that the Fight Night reboot’s development had to be paused because of the UFC game, and in a follow-up tweet, said that the reboot hasn’t yet been “100%” canned. Responding to that question over on Twitter, Henderson recently stated that EA is currently targeting a summer 2023 launch window for EA Sports UFC 5. ![]() It’s been nearly two years since EA Sports UFC 4launched though, so when can we expect its follow-up to launch. Why? Apparently, to focus on the development of EA Sports UFC 5. In November last year, prominent insider Tom Henderson reported that EA had greenlit a revival of the Fight Night series– but in the very same report, it was stated that developer EA Canada had put that game’s development on hold. ![]()
